Hi Gang,

Well we are having a Non Activity weekend away on Friday the 27th until Sunday the 29th of January 2012 at the Cuisle Holiday Centre, Donamon, Co. Roscommon. We will be organising the activities ourselves - football, rounders, orienteering etc giving us a chance to “hang-out” and chat a bit more than usual! We will have a “CanTeen X Factor Karaoke Show” on the Saturday. There is also a spa pool, sauna and Jacuzzi so bring your swimming gear!

We will be leaving Dublin from Liberty Hall at 6pm on Friday the 27th of January and will be back at Liberty Hall at 4.30pm on Sunday the 29th of January 2012. So plan your travel arrangements around then, and make sure you allow for delays with rush hour traffic on the Friday evening.

The cost of the weekend will be €20.00. As usual you can bring a teenage brother, sister or friend with you. To book a place, complete the enclosed booking form, along with your deposit of €5.00, and send it into me as soon as possible!! Please make sure that you complete all sections, in particular the Consent for Medical Treatment Section. Each person going on the weekend must complete a form. Also please bring all your medication with you. As usual, there will be a nurse accompanying the group.

Places are limited on this weekend, so to avoid disappointment book early. Please return completed forms to CanTeen Ireland, Carmichael Centre, North Brunswick St. Dublin 7.

P.S. We are having our Teenage Cancer Conference at the Irish Cancer Society National Support Groups Conference on Saturday 3rd of March 2012 at Dublin Castle. There will be really interesting workshops for teenagers so it’d be great if you can come along……. And we’ll be going on an activity in the afternoon!!
